Big Balloons is the fifth episode of the sixth series which was broadcast on 3rd October 2008. It was written by Rebecca Stevens.

Summay

Pat is asked to deliver helium balloons to celebrate the reopening of Pencaster Town Hall. When the balloons are accidentally released and P.C. Selby floats away, Pat has to make a daring rescue attempt in his helicopter.

Goofs 

• At the start of the episode Jess is able to hold the balloons down and stop them floating away, but later on the balloons are able to carry the weight of P.C. Selby!
• Despite the title suggesting that the balloons will be big, the only balloons seen are fairly normal in size.
• When Reverend Timms is worried about Pat being late, the time on his watch reads ten to two.
• P.C. Selby refers to the River Penn as a lake.
